Terms of Service

HOLD is a memory for short videos. You save links to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and Reddit, and AI turns each video into a smart card: a short summary, tags and useful finds. These terms describe the rules for using the service. By using HOLD, you agree to them. If something does not work for you, please do not use the service.

1. What HOLD does

You save links to short videos in HOLD. AI turns each video into a smart card: a short summary, tags and useful finds (places, products, recipes, links mentioned in the video). Cards are sorted automatically into folders by topic, and you can search your library by meaning. You can share your library with another person by their email.

To build a card, HOLD temporarily fetches and processes the video at its source link on our servers (it transcribes speech and reads frames), then discards the original. The original video file is never given to you, never stored after processing, and cannot be downloaded or exported from HOLD. Only a text summary and a small preview thumbnail are kept.

2. Who runs HOLD

HOLD is operated by an individual named Yurii, resident in Cyprus (EU). For all questions related to the service, write to support@holdmemory.cc.

3. Age

You can use HOLD from the age of 16. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, please do not use the service.

4. Account and sign-in

You sign in to HOLD with a Google or Apple account, or by email.
In the @HOLD_APPbot Telegram bot, an account is created automatically from your Telegram account. You can optionally link it to an email, which merges your library and subscription with the app account.
You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for actions taken under it.
Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

5. Pro subscription

Saving videos is available only with a Pro subscription: without Pro you cannot save videos.

Pro costs from EUR 4.99 per month (1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month plans are available; the exact price in your currency is shown before purchase) and is billed through the app store: Google Play on Android or the App Store on iOS.
In the Telegram bot, the subscription is billed in Telegram Stars (1-month plan; the price in Stars is shown before payment).
The subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel it.
A 7-day free trial is offered on Google Play and the App Store. It converts automatically to the paid subscription unless you cancel it before the trial ends. The trial does not apply to the Telegram subscription.
You can cancel any time: on Android — in Google Play, "Subscriptions"; on iOS — in your Apple ID settings, "Subscriptions" (Settings → your name → Subscriptions); in Telegram — in your Telegram settings, Stars subscriptions section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
Refunds are handled per the policy of the platform where the subscription was purchased: Google Play, the App Store (refunds are processed by Apple) or Telegram (Stars payments).

Payment goes through Google Play, the App Store or Telegram. Your bank-card data is handled by Google, Apple or Telegram and is not passed to us. We will give you advance notice of any price changes.

6. Your content and intellectual property

The links you save and your own notes belong to you. The HOLD app, the HOLD brand, the software and the interface belong to the operator of the service.

So that the service can work, you grant HOLD a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process and display your saved content and AI summaries, including showing your library to the people you choose to open it to. This license ends when the content or account is deleted.

Video preview thumbnails remain the property of their rights holders and are shown for reference and illustration. Send content takedown requests and intellectual property or DMCA complaints to support@holdmemory.cc.

7. Acceptable use

Do not save links to illegal content.
Forward and share only content you have the rights to.
Do not try to disrupt the service (hacking, overloading, bypassing restrictions).

8. AI summaries

AI summaries are generated automatically. They may be incomplete or wrong and are not professional advice (medical, legal, financial or any other). Always verify against the original video. If an AI result is offensive or incorrect, you can report it with the "Report" button in the card. HOLD does not knowingly generate illegal or harmful content and reviews the reports it receives.

9. Saving via Instagram direct messages

You can save a reel by forwarding it to the direct messages of the @holdmemoryapp account on Instagram. Intake of these messages is handled by a third-party service, Zernio, and this feature is governed by the terms of Instagram and Meta. You may forward only content you have the rights to.

10. Telegram bot

HOLD is also available as the @HOLD_APPbot bot on Telegram: you send the bot a video link and get a ready card right in the chat. An account is created automatically from your Telegram account (see section 4), and the Pro subscription is billed in Telegram Stars (see section 5). Cards open inside Telegram or in the browser. Use of the bot is additionally governed by the Telegram terms.

11. Third-party platforms and content

HOLD works with links to third-party platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit and others. The terms of the respective platforms apply to this content. We do not control such content and are not responsible for it: videos may be removed, changed or hidden by their owners or by the platforms. 12. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the safety of data during third-party failures, or the accuracy of AI summaries.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months (for free use this is zero). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, lost profits or lost data. At the same time, nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

13. Suspension and termination of access

We may suspend or terminate access to the service in case of a breach of these terms, illegal use, non-payment, fraud, or where the law requires it. On termination of access, your saved data may be deleted and an active subscription ended in accordance with these terms and the policy of the platform where it was purchased (Google Play, the App Store or Telegram). You may stop using the service at any time.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus (EU). At the same time, you keep the mandatory consumer rights in effect in your country of residence, which cannot be limited by contract.

15. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email. If you keep using HOLD after the changes, that means you agree to them.

16. App Store notice

If you downloaded HOLD from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and the operator of HOLD, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them once you accept them.
